The decision on the establishment of the People’s Council in Transcarpathia was adopted as a basis. 55 deputies voted for the decision. Thus, in Transcarpathia, the only region in Ukraine, the PC was formed without a single drop of blood and broken window glass.
The journalist Yaroslav Hulan wrote in facebook: "Transcarpathian Regional Council bore the Transcarpathian People’s Council.
I think that the prosecution will cancel the decision in court – no one has seen the draft decision…".
Meanwhile, on the Uzhgorod Maidan, activists are demanding the resignation of Governor Ledyda (one man even declared a hunger strike, he delivered a letter with demands to the head of RSA), the information was announced in the session hall, but there has been no response to the demand.
In addition, the regional council ordered the security forces to unblock the administrative building. The majority of deputies at the extraordinary session voted for this decision. Also, policemen were prohibited to use special means during events.
Ivan Baloha said that a peaceful solution in our region was not surprising, since Transcarpathia is Europe, and Transcarpathians are Europeans.
