Vasyl Hubal “We are not only aware of the processes that they are trying to get our region involved in, but we are countering that”

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Vasyl Hubal on his official page in facebook commented on the "news" which recently was spread by the Russian TV channel LIFE | NEWS:

"This another product of the Russian, so to speak, media could be called the fruit of a sick imagination. Unfortunately, it is not. Of course, the disseminated "information" about the supposedly separatist sentiments in the region is far from reality and can only cause irritation.

However, unfortunately, these fantasies are not just nonsense, but also quite conscious attempt to escalate tension and stir up the situation. They are symptomatic and show that the aggressor’s appetite for Ukraine is only increasing. And so we must pay attention to these signals.

As the head of the RSA, I assure you: we are not only aware of the processes that they are trying to get our region involved in, but we are also countering that. All normal people know that Transcarpathia is Ukraine and it will remain so. However, we do not rule out the possibility of provocation by certain forces, and want to be ready for that. We will react adequately.

I urge countrymen to ignore destabilizing actions and remain calm.
