‘UzhNU was betrayed’, – the former pro-rector Alexandr Slyvka

It is necessary to accept the University staff decision that all the actions on UzhNU reorganization are unacceptable till the new rector elections and adoption of new higher education law – said in his speech longstanding university pro-rector, who was fired by the order of the newly appointed rector interim Vitalii Nikolaichuk Alexandr Slyvka at the Academic Council meeting yesterday, May 29. ‘What right do we have to raise the restructuring and streamlining issue, if the accreditation is to take place at the higher educational institution in 2013? It’s self-destruction! Such actions of the new leadership, to my mind, mean the betrayal of UzhNU staff’, – pointed out Alexandr Georgievich.

Slyvka reminded that ‘this year’s August 10, 2011 and April 12 told us that we were speculating the Transcarpathian universities unification question. And at the first press conference the new UzhNU leadership stated that they are not against the integration’.

He also raised the question on the court decision that the certificate of the UzhNU verification results, which was conducted by the higher education institutions’ state inspection is not recognized as a falsify, although it was by the university staff. ‘Academic Council cannot evaluate the court actions. But the Academic Council agreed that the certificate was falsified. How can it be regarded?’ – asked his colleagues pro-rector.

Slyvka said in his comments to uzhgorod.in that he and another former pro-rector Igor Studeniak filled lawsuit on the illegal dismissal. Currently the examination date is unknown.
