UzhNU is recruiting to its own “army”

On Friday, September 18, at the "Avangard" stadium, there was the exam in physical training – the last stage of the selection of applicants, who wish to learn the military profession, the Media Center of UzhNU informs.

The selection of candidates took place in three stages: 1) professional and psychological selection; 2) pre-conscription training test; 3) exam in physical training that included 100 meters run, pull-ups on a bar and 1 km cross.

"The results of the first two tests are very positive, because the students showed a high level of knowledge and the results of psychological tests allow to conclude that the applicants are mentally prepared for the chosen profession. Also we can see the desire of students to study at the department of military training, all have a motivation which is very important." – the head of the department, Colonel Vasyl Oliynyk says.

Initially, there were 130 applicants wishing to study at the military training department, but only a little more than one hundred applicants, including four girls, have made it into the third stage of the selection.

Recall that the decision to open the military training department at UzhNU was determined by the government decree of March 25 №143 "On the optimization of the network of military training units of higher education institutions."
