Uzhgorod youth brought the Old New Year to boarding school kids

Students of the specialized form of Imstychevo boarding school received from Uzhgorod youth Christmas gifts, stationery and sweets on the Old Style New Year. 32 children with certain development defects are enrolled in this form. They were happy to receive gifts and tell guests about their studies and daily life.

All the gifts were purchased as part of the charity auction "Buy a date – give a child a holiday," which was initiated before holidays by NGOs "Young UDAR" and "Students United."

"As a result of the charity auction that we held on the eve of the holidays, we have raised over 50,000 UAH. Thanks to this, today we are giving a holiday for children living in this and other orphanages. So most of the funds raised have already been spent for good cause. When you see kids smiling and that their life gets a little better, you realize that no efforts are in vain," – one of the organizers Denys Man said.

Recall: "Buy a date – give a child a holiday" is a charity auction where lots were not things or objects, but dates with different people. The campaign lasted for a month on the Internet.
