Uzhgorod wore red caps (PHOTOS)

In Uzhgorod, the culmination of the St. Nicholas’ Parade and the lighting of the city’s main Christmas tree is about to happen.

The Parade of Mikolajczyks, who treat passers with candy and greet them on holidays, has become a tradition since 1996. At noon Uzhgorod began to turn into the city of red hats – schoolchildren wearing this St. Nicholas’s accessory are flocking to the center from all over the city.

As always Uzhgorod loudly and brightly celebrates St. Nicholas Day, and thus our city gives the official start of New Year and Christmas holidays throughout Ukraine.
