Remember, on August 11, the auction "Buy a date – help Transcarpathian soldiers!" was launched in social networks. The campaign finished on August 31. In Facebook, there were 186 lots, in VKontakte – 302. Currently, volunteers have started processing the lists and collecting money.
"As of 13:00, September 3, we have collected 7,849 UAH. Many people were unable to transfer the money today. People call to say that they will pay later. Some on Thursday, some on Friday. Someone is now abroad and transfers the money through friends. Therefore, the amount will be much higher," – the coordinator of the campaign, journalist Vitaliy Hlahola says.
Winning bids are different – depending on the lot. From the minimum of 50 UAH – to the maximum of 5,000.
The most expensive lot in the auction – Miss Uzhgorod Anastasia Kostich. The chance to have a cup of coffee with her was bought for 5,000 UAH. At this time, the buyer is not in Ukraine – so the date has not yet been paid for. The date with the presenter of the Novy Channel Sasha Pedan was bought for 2,200 UAH by a girl who now lives in Slovak Kosice.
The Editor in Chief of our site Alla Hayatova is also among the most expensive lots. The date with the journalist, correspondent of the "ZIK" channel was sold for 2,000 UAH. The date with the famous Transcarpathia writer Andriy Lyubka was sold for 1,300 UAH.
Reports after the receipt of the funds will be published on pages in social networks – Facebook and VKontakte. "There, we will publish reports on the use of funds after we have collected the full amount.Currently, we plan to buy kevlar helmets for the guys in the ATO, but priorities may change at any time", – Vitaliy Hlahola says.
The same campaign takes place in other social networks – VKontakte. Another volunteer and community activist Denys Man is in charge of it.
"Yesterday, during the day, we have collected 3,190 UAH and 100 USD in cash. 4,538.60 UAH – on the bank card. And it is very symbolic that we can raise money to help our soldiers in the ATO zone in the social network of the occupier. Thus, the Russian company helps Ukrainian army" – Vitaliy sums up.
