Uzhgorod veterans, disabled and combatants will receive cash benefits

War veterans and the persons subject to the Law of Ukraine "On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection" and "On victims of Nazi persecution", according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. 05.04.2017 number 223, will receive a one-time cash assistance to May 5 in 2017.
The payment of one-time cash assistance will be made in the following amounts:
1) for disabled veterans and former minor (who were under 14 years at the time of detention) prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of detention recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, industrial injury and other reasons:
– I group – 3500 UAH;
– II group – 3100 UAH;

– III group – 2700 UAH;
 2) for combatants and former minor (who were under 18 years at the time of detention) prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of detention, and children born in these places of detention – 1200 UAH;
3) for persons who have special merits to the country – 3500 UAH;
4) for family members of the victims and wives (husbands) of deceased disabled veterans, wives (husbands) of deceased combatants, war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, industrial injury and other causes that have not gotten married for the second time – 600 UAH;
5) for war veterans and former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of detention, persons who were forcibly deported for forced labor, children of guerrillas, underground, other participants of the struggle against Nazi regime behind enemy lines – 500 UAH;
Payment of one-time cash assistance to May 5 will be made by September 30 of the respective year in which the payment of benefits is made.
Citizens who belong to several categories of persons under this Law shall be paid one assistance the amount of which is the largest.
