The mechanism of illegal legalization of Russian citizens in Ukraine through fictitious employment was exposed in Transcarpathia by the Security Service of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers caught a Russian citizen, who registered a legal office in Uzhgorod. The native of Ufa shared his experience of "legalization" with other foreigners and persons without citizenship.
The citizen of the Russian Federation had official permit for a short-term stay in Ukraine, but significantly overstayed this period. He would provide state agencies authorized to extend his period of legal stay in the country a false information about himself, including the alleged persecution in Russia.
Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine also found out that in fact the alien intended to go to court to reclaim alleged debts of citizens of Ukraine to the Russian "Sberbank".
Based on the case files, Uzhgorod City and District Court passed a resolution to expel the citizen of the Russian Federation for violation of rules of stay in Ukraine.
The foreigner was also denied entry to Ukraine for three years.
