On March 23-25, the Taekwon-Do Championship of Ukrainian among cadets, juniors and adults was held in Kyiv. It was the first competition of such status. The team of Transcarpathia at the Championship was represented by 5 athletes, who eventually won two gold, one silver and one bronze reward.
This allowed the team of our region, which was represented by the smallest number of participants, to take the seventh place.
So, the results are: Dasha Korolovych won the first place in two weight categories: 35 and 40kg among cadets. Yulianna Muska won the 2nd place in the weight category of 35kg among cadets, and Anton Vasylyk won the 3rd place in the category of 45kg among cadets.
However, those are not all of the achievements of Uzhgorod athletes… During the Championship of Ukraine, the Championship of All-Ukrainian Taekwon-Do Union among children also took place. 22 young athletes of the club "Korolovych team" took part in it.
As a result of tough, intense fights, the pupils of Vladislav Korolovych and Valentina Glukhenko won 4 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze awards and took the seventh place among 34 clubs of Ukraine.
So, during these days, the Uzhgorod Taekwondo Club in total won 6 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze medals.
