Uzhgorod sorely lacks real children’s parties – opinion

The Mustard Seed Lane located between Fedynets and Koryatovich streets in Uzhgorod is a popular holiday destination of Uzhgorod residents. It is also known by the fact that the team that works in the lane present it as a social and educational project, which operates under the slogan "Eternal values exist." That is why, for three years in a row now, they have always arranged small parties there: singing carols at Christmas, transfer of the Bethlehem Fire of Peace, children’s parties. The Lane also articipates in city-wide events such as the Parade of brides. The route of the Mikolajczyks parade passes through the Lane. The Coffee guided tour of Uzhgorod starts from here. In the winter, traditionally, there is a Christmas Crib with real sheep here.

This year, the team of the "Mustard Seed" at their own expenses built the ecological waste sorting station that is designed to keep the city center clean and set an example for other Uzhgorod entrepreneurs.

The project decided to celebrate all these achievements by a street party. It has become a tradition and takes place in the early autumn. This year – for the third time.

The administrator of the "Mustard Seed" Mariya Hramotnyk said: "Our party is really focused on children.Because they are our future. It is important to keep the value of family relationships, spending time together, joint outings and entertainment. This is what allows us to have wonderful memories from childhood. And also, to truly love our city."

At the end of the holiday we talked to the manager of the Tourist Information Centre Oleksandr Koval. The expert noted that there are not enough such parties in the city and if every successful Uzhgorod entrepreneur organized an event like this at least once a year, Uzhgorod children would never be bored, and the city’s tourist appeal would be greatly enhanced.
