Uzhgorod residents worry that the City Council will again carve up land under the pretext of care for the ATO participants

Activists drew attention of Uzhgorod residents that, under the guise of land allocation to participants of the ATO, a former Party of Regions member Danch will receive a fat piece of land.

"On July 31, the session of Uzhgorod City Council will be considering a draft decision on allocation of land plots to participants of the ATO. In paragraphs 1.3 and 1.4 of this decision, under the guise of allocation of land to the ATO participants, they plan to take away from the community another public garden – near the houses at Svoboda Avenue, 53 and F. Tikhy Street, 15 and build a high-rise in its place.

The real owner and developer of the park is a deputy of the City Council from the constituency number 27 Mykhailo Danch – the owner of the store "Yuvileiny", a former Party of Regions member, the right hand of the Secretary of the City Council Bogdan Andriyiv. Until March 2014, Danch was the secretary of the Land Commission of the City Council, during that time about a hundred parks, green areas and adjoining areas were stolen from Uzhgorod residents through manipulations. Are we going to keep tolerationg this outrage?", – Mykola Goryansky wrote.
