Uzhgorod residents will commemorated the Holodomor victims and join the All-Ukrainian campaign “Light a Candle” (ANNOUNCEMENT)

On Saturday, November 23, Ukraine commemorates the victims of the devastating Holodomor that our nation suffered from the communist totalitarian regime.
At 15.30, in front of the Monument on Nezalezhnist embankment in Uzhgorod, the Ukrainian Choir of the Greek Catholic Cathedral will perform the song "Holy God". Then, the regional, city officials, members of the public will light candles and launch the campaign "Light a candle". The participants of the campaign will pay tribute to the victims of the Holodomor with a minute of silence.
Representatives of religious denominations will hold a requiem and the choir will perform the Prayer for Ukraine.
Afterwards, everyone will be able to visit the exhibition on the occasion of the Day of Commemoration of the Holodomor victims, which will be on display in the atrium of the regional state administration.
