Today, June 19, the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir recreated its first concert in 1946 in Uzhgorod.
The performance began with an art flash mob, which turned into a real street concert on Teatralna Square. Its unique atmosphere was created by artists impersonating the mayor of Uzhgorod in 1946, the first head of the choir, choreographer and others. Uzhgorod residents also were dressed as people in the first half of the twentieth century.
After the street performance, the artists and the audience moved to the Transcarpathian Academic Puppet Theatre "Bavka" which in 1946 was the main theater stage of the city. The retrospective of the first concert of the Transcarpathian Folk Choir took place there.
The holiday finished with an open concert on Fentsyk Square, near the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic.
Recall that the head of the famous choir is Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk.
