Today, October 3, during the meeting of the executive committee of the Uzhgorod City Council a program to support the work of NGOs of social direction in 2013 was approved.
Last year, 20 thousand hryvnias were allocated from the budget of the City Council for the activities of these organizations; in 2013 the budget for this purpose will provide approximately 50 thousand hryvnias, though the organizations themselves ask about 130 thousand.
How to divide 50000 by 15 organizations will be decided be members of the City Council during a work in commissions, then the matter will be submitted to the session. However, it is clear that each of them receives only a few thousand.
The exception is the medical-social rehabilitation center "Way of Life." In 2012, 500 000 UAH was allocated to that organization, in 2013 the Uzhgorod government wants to provide the same amount, although the center asks 844 000 to cover the cost of transport and food.
