Today, the Prosecutor of Uzhgorod lifted the ban on the disposition of the "Crown," which had been imposed due to initiated criminal cases against certain officials of Uzhgorod city council.
According to Zakarpattya online, the ban was lifted by the Acting Prosecutor of Uzhgorod Serhiy Vovkanych as directed by the Deputy Prosecutor of Transcarpathian region Anatoliy Savchenko.
After the last decision in this case, taken by Lviv Economic Court of Appeal, the said ban was the most significant obstacle to the completion of a long and dubious process of disposition of one of the best Uzhgorod municipal properties. According to experts, this deal will cost the city 10-15 million hryvnias, which will not make it to the city budget.
Currently, another obstacle is the lack of the valid expert valuation of the property being sold. The validity period of the previous expert valuation has long expired.
Also, it is unclear what will be with the complaints, filed by the hitherto occupant of the "Crown" complex PE "Koruna" to the Economic Court of Transcarpathian region and Lviv Economic Court of Appeal on August 14.
