Uzhgorod district police inspectors caught a local resident who was walking at the local market with a melee weapons – nunchaku.
In the evening, during inspection of the administrative area, at the market on Zankovetska street in Uzhgorod, district police officers stopped a 38-year-old local resident for smoking in a prohibited location.
During the drawing up of the administrative police report, the man voluntarily, in the presence of witnesses, gave an object similar to a nunchaku. As he explained, he needed this object to defend himself.
A report under Art. 175-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (smoking tobacco products in prohibited areas) was drawn up against the offender, and the nunchaku was sent to the Research Forensic Center at the regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for examination.
This incident is registered in the Journal of uniform registration of statements and reports on committed criminal offenses and other incidents of Uzhgorod city police. Currently, officers of the city police department are checking this fact.
