Uzhgorod police officers caught a garage thief

The thief was caught by detectives of the City Police Criminal Investigation while trying to sell stolen wheels.
 
Recently, a 30-year-old local resident appealed to Uzhgorod city police. The man reported that an unknown person, by damaging a padlock on the garage door, had penetrated inside and stolen from there tools and 8 used wheels with discs for his car "BMW". The total amount of damage is 10,000 UAH.
 
Through concerted and professional actions of detectives of the City Police Criminal Investigation, it was found out that the theft had been committed by a 23-year-old resident of Uzhgorod who had already served a sentence in prison.
 
At present, Uzhgorod police investigation department has opened the criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art.185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft, combined with breaking and entering or causing substantial damage to the victim), which provides for the punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 6 years.
 
Physical evidence was seized. The thief is talking with the police. The investigation is ongoing.
