Investigators notified a 40-year-old local resident that he is suspected of committing a crime. The man confessed that he had inflicted severe injuries to his acquaintance that resulted in her death. Police officers are deciding on the choice of pre-trial restraint.
Investigators of Uzhgorod Police Department are investigating a case concerning the death of a 45-year-old woman.
The woman’s body was found a few days ago on Kanalna street in Uzhgorod. The results of the forensic medical examination showed that the death was caused by severe bodily harm.
During the investigation, the police identified the suspect – a 40-year-old friend of the victim. As the detainee confessed, during a walk with the victim, a conflict arose between them. In the course of the quarrel, the man killed the woman.
Yesterday, March 19, the investigators notified the detainee that he was suspected of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Intentional grave bodily harm that led to the death of the victim). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years.
