On June 11, at about 19:00, a crew of Uzhgorod patrol police received a report that unknown persons were trying to get into someone else’s house on Silvay street.
Policeman quickly got to the scene. The front door to the apartment indeed was damaged. At the scene, the policemen found and interviewed a witness who said that the thiefs were 2 unknown men. After receiving the information, the police began to search the surrounding area.
Not far from the place of the offense, they found a man who later confessed to the patrol police that he had entered a private property to steal scrap metal. Then he broke the door in a residential home to steal other valuables. The offender refused to name his accomplice.
An investigative team was called at the scene. Investigators took up the case.
