The old door is being restored in the Church of St. George in Uzhgorod. ⠀
Under the top layer, the masters found traces of white, red and brown oil paint.
To remove them, they are using a gas lamp. The side doors have already been cleaned, the central ones are next.
Then the door will be sanded – it will take about two more weeks, and then painted.⠀
It is unknown how old the church doors are.
They were installed during one of the reconstructions of 1830, 1881 or 1910. ⠀
