HORYANY ROTUNDA is one of Ukraine’s oldest architectural monuments. ⠀
More than 700 years ago, Italian artists of the Giotto School painted the rotunda with unique frescoes.
The painting is unconventional, because the faces of the saints express emotions. Those are scenes from the New Testament. "Gifts of the Wisemen", "Escape to Egypt", "The Birth of Christ", "Annunciation", "Resurrection".
The artists were invited to Uzhgorod by the Druget family.
