Uzhgorod patrol policemen detained a man with a knife

During the day patrolling, on August 28, Uzhgorod patrol policemen were called at Zankovetska street. The applicant said that near one of the convenience store she had noticed a man who had stolen a tablet from her apartment the day before.

The policeman quickly arrived at the said address, where they found the suspect. When policemen tried to approach him, the citizen held an object looking like a kitchen knife to his stomach and threatened to injure himself if anyone comes closer to him.

Patrol policemen took the situation under control. While one of the police officers diverted the offender’s attention, the other one snatched the knife with quick trained movements.

An investigative team was called at the scene. The man was taken to Uzhgorod police station to provide explanations. Investigators have taken up the case.
