The main spring event at the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic is traditionally the international festival "Music without Borders". This art festival will take place in the magnificent concert hall of the Philharmonic for the fourth time.
The IV International festival "Music without Borders" will be held in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic from 3 to 20 of April. During the event, seven diverse programs will be presented for the audience. In particular, the program of the festival opening is dedicated to the work of one of the founders of the Transcarpathian professional music school Istvan Marton, whose name is closely associated with the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. Thanks to Istvan Marton and his collaboration with the prominent Moscow organist Harry Grodberg, in 1974, the organ was installed in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. We still enjoy its elegant appearance and majestic sounds, as well as works of Marton written for this unique instrument – "Toccata", "Melody", "Capriccio", "Mass", "Passacaglia."
So, on April 3, do not miss the opening of the IV International festival "Music without Borders".
In addition to vocal and instrumental miniatures, the program will include "Mass" for choir, orchestra, soloists and organ by Istvan Marton. The piece consists of six parts: «Kyrie» («Lord have mercy»), «Gloria» («Glory»), «Credo» («I believe»), «Sanctus» («Saint»), «Benedictus» («Blessed») and «Agnus Dei» («Lamb of God»).
