Uzhgorod National University went up in the ranking of universities of Ukraine

The first days of July brought good news – in the consolidated ranking of universities of Ukraine, Uzhgorod National University for the last academic year went up from 30-31 to 17-18 place among 269 universities.

Already last year, our university improved its position, but such rapid and successful progress is observed for the first time in its history, especially given the high level of competition among the best universities. We asked the Rector of the university, Professor Volodymyr Smolanka to comment on the positive dynamics.
– Of course, it is a merit of all the staff of Uzhgorod National University, as the consolidated ranking is based on the three most prominent rankings (Scopus, Webometrics and "Top 200 Ukraine") that reflect all aspects of higher education: academic work, academic achievements, transparency of management, content and information activity, etc. – V.Smolanka said.
All units, every employee of our university have contributed to this result, for which I want to sincerely thank all of them.    
This important comprehensive ranking is particularly significant these days when graduates decide where to pursue higher education, which university will allow them to obtain their chosen profession.
The dynamics of rapid ascent of UzhNU indeed is particularly pleasant: for the last two years we have "made" 24 steps up, rising from the 41st place (2014) to 17th place. This once again confirms that our university is rightly positioning itself as the most dynamic university of Ukraine – the PR Center of UzhNU informs.
