Uzhgorod National University is working on the introduction of an electronic student card

Do you constantly forget or lose your student card? Soon, it will not be a problem anymore! Uzhgorod National University together with PrivatBank is working on the development of an electronic card, which our students will be able to try out. The Media Center learned about the idea and development from the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of Uzhgorod National University Oleksandr Rohach. 
  
"In the autumn, our university submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science a request to develop an electronic card, – Oleksandr Rohach says. – We are implementing this project together with PrivatBank. It is quite promising, as it allows for significant savings in budget and time for card production. We recently received approval from the ministry for such an experiment. The next stage is the coordination of technical issues with the PrivatBank." 
According to the plan, the electronic student card will be available in the Privat-24 application. Of course, first of all, it will have the same functions as the usual one: it will identify the holder and provide a discount in transport, cinemas, museums, etc. And it will give you the opportunity to enjoy additional benefits. 
"PrivatBank offers additional services: the ability to place class schedules and announcements, create chats to communicate with other students, pay for tuition and dormitories, and more. That is, the functionality is wider,” – Oleksandr Rohach explains. 
There is also a financial benefit for the university: the cost of an ordinary plastic student is about 60-70 hryvnias. And in the application tickets will be free for UzhNU. 
The world is not standing still, it is developing and changing. And what would have surprised a few years ago is becoming a reality today. And our students will be among the first to experience these changes.
