Uzhgorod Military Commissariat is headed by a new person

The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv met with the new head of Uzhgorod Joint Military Commissariat Serhiy Zubach, who was recently appointed to the post. This was reported by the press service of Uzhgorod city council.

They discussed a very important issue – spring conscription for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, under which, this spring, 60 Uzhgorod young men are to be called up for military service, 47 of them – already in April. Currently, there are problems, because young people refuse to perform their duties. Serhiy Zubach stressed that it is not mobilization, conscripts will not be sent to the ATO area.

The Mayor assured the new Uzhgorod military commissar in his continued support of the military commissariat – the City Council has provided the funding for the program of logistics support for the military units that are stationed in Uzhgorod.

The information about the appointment of a new head of Uzhgorod Military Commissariat appeared in some media at the end of March. It is Serhiy Zubach, who until now had been heading Derazhnia District Military Commissariat in Khmelnitsky region. Lieutenant Colonel Mykola Zhuravlev, who was heading Uzhgorod Military Commissariat since 2015, was appointed the first deputy Transcarpathian regional military commissar. Official information about the staff rotation has not been reported.
