Members of Uzhgorod Executive Committee decided to allocate 70,000 UAH from the budget for the public utility "Uzhgorodparkvideo." Now, members of the city council should also vote for this decision at the session.
As uzhgorod.in previously reported, this organization needs the money to repay the tax debt.
At the meeting of the Executive Committee, the Mayor of Uzhgorod Victor Pogorelov said that the city needs this enterprise, although it is unprofitable.
In particular, in the regional center, there are about 50 surveillance cameras which are maintained by the "Uzhgorodparkvideo." According to the mayor, they helped to solve a number of crimes.
As for parking machines and paid parking, they are not going to arrange it in the city for now, because the law does not provide specifics as to how to make drivers pay for parking. Currently, Uzhgorod city council has 9 parking machines. According to the mayor, until there is a clear mechanism to make drivers pay for parking, the devices will not be set up on the streets.
