Uzhgorod “Lastovichka” kindergarten works according to European standards (PHOTOS)

On September 19 as part of the "Social Collaboration" project in kindergarten № 21 "Lastovichka" in Uzhgorod the work of specialized children singing, drama, painting and sculpting groups was presented. As of the 1st of August, in addition to the above, a group of preparation for school has been working in the kindergarten.

"The "Lastovichka" kindergarten is an associate partner of the project. Group leaders within 8 months of operation will be practically implementing advanced methods of children developing, using the experience of similar work in Slovak preschool education institutions" – said the project coordinator Oleg Vysochan. – This event is dedicated to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the start of the European territorial cooperation which aims to support local initiatives in the regions and cities of different countries within and beyond the European Union. This year’s Day of European Cooperation is celebrated under the slogan "Shared borders – borders unite."

"We have seen the results of the work of all the newly formed groups. Kids sang songs, danced, recited poems. Also, all visitors were able to see the exhibition of works of painting and sculpture," – said the expert of the Carpathian center of initiatives "European steps" Yana Pompal.

 As teachers of the institution have told, easels, special paints, baking clay were bought under the children program.

On the shelves there are many Slovak and Ukrainian books on needlework, as well as examples of products, the children will work with.

Most teachers are involved in the creative design of institution walls, thus encouraging kids to be creative. Here you can see an original tree, an impromptu picture-aquarium, and lots of drawn tales characters.

The "Social Collaboration" project is funded by ENPI CBC Programme Hungary – Slovakia – Romania – Ukraine of 2007-2013. The executor of the "Social Collaboration" Project is the Carpathian center of initiatives "European steps" in partnership with the Slovak non-governmental organization "Common areas" in Kosice.
