Uzhgorod joined the comprehensive rating monitoring City Progress Index

Uzhgorod became the 12th city in Ukraine, which has joined the City Progress Index – a comprehensive rating monitoring of changes in the quality of life in cities, their investment attractiveness and institutional capacity of municipalities.

The memorandum of cooperation for the measurement of the dynamics of the city development was signed today by Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv and the Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Communications and Development "Together" Ruslan Rokhov.

City Progress Index is a tool that helps identify not only certain parameters in the life of cities, but also assess the dynamics of changes and their quality, whether there is progress or regress.

These data are important to residents and potential residents of the city, investors and donors, leaders of the city, workers of municipalities, public authorities. Statistics, opinion polls, expert assessments are used for analysis.

According to the speaker, in the future, City Progress Index will become a standard. Because it is a mechanism that would allow the city to compete with itself – clearly showing changes and future directions of development, "points of application" of efforts for authorities and the public. Figuratively speaking, mayors will have a "dashboard" to navigate in current operative tasks and provide feedback – whether they are closer to the target and whether there is progress in the city.
