Uzhgorod is the capital of the sakuras, and maybe tulips? (PHOTOS)

More than 20 thousand tulips planted in Uzhgorod in 2017 have bloomed.

In the streets, squares and parks of the city, there are now about ten varieties of tulips: yellow, white, pink, purple, red, orange, striped, and so on.

"The price of one bulb is 5 to 8 hryvnia, depending on the variety," – the press office of the city council informs.

Last year there were about 8 thousand tulips on the city flower beds. Those were what was left after the planting in 2016. Unfortunately, a significant number of flowers were stolen from the flower beds. So, in the autumn of last year, they planted another 20 thousands early spring flowers that have blossomed for the first time.
