Uzhgorod is going to be without Fartushok. At least, for now

The issue of appoinment of Igor Fartushok as the deputy mayor of Uzhgorod currently has not been considered at the session.

The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv withdrew the draft decision on this from the agenda. Apparently, according to preliminary calculations, they lacked votes to support the candidate.

Previously, it was proposed to appoint Fartushok as the deputy mayor in charge of relations with with law enforcement agencies. It’s debatable whether such position is needed at the city council. It is possible that they will try to raise this issue next Thursday, when the session will continue.

Until December 2015, Igor Fartushok, lawyer, was heading the territorial office of the Ministry of Justice in the region – he was the Chief of Justice in Transcarpathian region.
