These photos were made by me yesterday, January 24, between 17.00 and 18.30, from the balcony of the 15th floor of the "Intourist Zakarpattya" Hotel in Uzhgorod.
We got to the 11th floor by a lift, and then went on foot. There are no rooms for tourists here, but now the space used for performances, exhibitions.
Because it is "USSR exotics". That is why we came here: the artistic residence "Sorry, no vacancies" (curator – painter Petro Ryaska) arranged in several rooms an exhibition of the guest of the residence Victoria Dovgadze "Delete this hidden image?" (but a photo report from this event will be posted later).
We took the opportunity and photographed the evening Uzhgorod. Here, you can see Cyril and Methodius square, the beginning of Mynaiska street, Svoboda avenue, etc. And also the buildings of the Holy Cross Cathedral of the UOC-MP, the once popular "Ukraina" department store, which burned several years ago. From this height, Uzhgorod looks differently – a solid metropolis with bustling life. If you are here, I advise you not to look down – it’s scary.
