Uzhgorod dweller Alexandr Solontai who was detained in Moscow returned to Ukraine

Ukrainian political scientist Alexandr Solontai, who was detained after the landing in the airport ‘Domodedovo’ returned to Ukraine.

He personally informed this to the newspaper  ‘Ukrainska Pravda’

‘They moved me from the detention room to the free transit zone as soon as people started to call at the Consulate and Embassy. Moreover, they agreed to help me, so that I could leave Russia as soon as possible, instead of waiting all night.’ – said Solontai.

He said that the Foreign Ministry representatives refused to name the cause of putting him in the list of those who is not allowed to enter Russia.

‘However, he stated in an informal conversation that such decisions are made at the federal level and no one is obliged to explain the details. But in general he said that the matter concerns the Russian Federation security’, – said Solontai.

He believes that the situation with his detention and deportation from the country is related to the fact that new large protests are expected in Russia on June 12.

‘The Russian authorities just could not believe in the fact that such protests are possible in Russia. Now they realized it, they realized its mass character and strength. Therefore, they began to stall out all thematic training events’, – said Solontai.

He informed that together with the Ukrainian Consul he will submit all the relevant information requests to find out the reason of putting him in the list of those who is not allowed to enter Russia.
