October 11, in the morning, the police was reported about damaged bars and a window in the building of one of the local universities. Investigative team of Uzhgorod Police Department arrived at the scene. It was found out that an unknown person had entered the building at night on October 11 by breaking a window. He stole a voltmeter and a frequency meter from the building.
Officers of Uzhgorod Criminal Police conducted a series of search operations and found out that this theft had been committed by a previously convicted resident of Uzhgorod. The man had already served a sentence for similar crimes.
It is unclear what he needed the stolen devices for, but students will definitely need them.
Investigators are conducting preliminary investigation into this fact. The detainee faces imprisonment for up to six years.
