Criminal proceeding over the arson of the car of one of Uzhgorod city council officials has been opened. Law enforcers classified this incident as a deliberate destruction of property.
Early this morning, Uzhgorod district police department received a report that in the yard of a private house in the village of Storozhnytsia in Uzhgorod district, a car "Honda" had caught fire – Uzhgorod District Police reported
The management and the investigative team of the ditrict police department immediately arrived at the scene. It was found out that the car belongs to one of the officials of Uzhgorod city council. The fire destroyed the front of the vehicle.
The investigative department of Uzhhorod district police registered this incident in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations and the criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional destruction or damage of property) was opened. The punishment for this crime is imprisonment for a term of 3 to 10 years.
As the GalagovTV learned from its own sources, the car belongs to the Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Olga Travina. The fire destroyed part of the car. The police have started investigating the case.
