Uzhgorod deputies approved the naming of new streets, and did not approve renaming of existing ones

Public hearings on naming of new streets in Uzhgorod after Mykola Bandusyak, Vasyl Lypkivsky, Mstislav Skrypnyk, Stepan Zhupanyn took place on June 19 in the city council. All proposals were approved, and the city council will make the final decision.

There was also a discussion about renaming of existing ones: Karoy Meysarosh Street to Anton Kashshay Street; Dekabristy Street to Karoy Meysarosh Street; Anton Kashshay Street to Volodymyr Fedynyshynets Street. Most of the participants in the hearings did not support the proposal to rename those streets.
