As we have already announced, on September 22, on Friday, a great program – "Winemaking and wedding" – will take place in the courtyard of the Uzhgorod castle. Those are autumn Transcarpathian traditions: grape harvesting and wedding.
The concert program of the Transcarpathian folk choir will take place in a somewhat unconventional format, without a stage and a clear line between the spectators and the choir. It is a folk spectacle which both guests and the artists will take part in. You will be able to try young wine, join the dance, and taste something sweet after dancing with the bride. There will be Transcarpathian wedding dances – Chardash, Karička, Transcarpathian waltz. Since Uzhgorod, as well as Transcarpathia in general, is a multinational city, the concert program will show how the representatives of different nationalities – Ukrainians, Hungarians, Slovaks, and Romanians – take part in the grape hatvesting, and all that is tied together by the common idea of goodness and peace. "We will show that Uzhgorod is a city that unites all," – Natalia Yosypivna said.
Entrance to all events is free.
