Today’s session of Uzhgorod city council brought a conflict, an amusing incident, as well as good news.
The highlight of the plenary session was a conflict between priests and "representatives of the ATO participants."
The reason for the dispute was the claims for allocation of land brought by the priests of the Moscow Patriarchate. The litigation regarding the land for the construction of a church near the railway hospital has been waged for a while now. It was once allocated by the city council to a representative of one denomination, but later the priest switched to other denomination, and the dispute has been going on since then.
