On Wednesday, March 4, in the auditorium of the educational complex "Uzhgorod economic lyceum, secondary school of I-II levels", activists of the school student government gave their toys to the children from the East.
Gifts were collected by students of the institution during the past semester. Also, pupils of the 10th grade – Kushtan Natalia, Chornak Anna, Ivanyshyn Daniela – and other school activists prepared the entertainment program for children, and members of the NGO "Transcarpathian community" organized the screening of the Ukrainian cartoon "Mykyta, the Fox".
At the same time, at the initiative of active IDPs of Uzhgorod and with the assistance of the "Transcarpathian community", in an adjacent room of the lyceum, there was the meeting of internally displaced people to create a single union for self-help and mutual support, because similar processes are well-established in many regions of Ukraine. "The establishment of the union is very important, because it can boost effective process of assistance for our countrymen, especially in legal matters, social security, effective job search," – the representative of the immigrants said. The participants showed remarkable activity and immediately set to work, and as a result it was agreed on the next meeting to be held in a few days.
"This union should become a link in the nationwide organization. People, who gathered here today, suffered from the aggression and their aim is to focus on achieving victory and peace in Ukraine", – the representative of the NGO "Transcarpathian community" Taras Haiduk said.
