Uzhgorod Children’s Music School prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary (ANNOUNCEMENT)

On March 20, 1945, the Tchaikovsky Children’s Music School was opened in Uzhgorod. It became the first state art school in Transcarpathia. In the first year, 50 students were enrolled there and they were taught by 7 teachers under the direction of Dezideriy Zador – a well-known musician at that time
The school prides itself on having over 5,000 pupils over 75 years of history, many of whom have become famous musicians, headed concert groups and art venues, and traveled all over the world to represent and glorify Uzhgorod and the Silver Land.

The celebrations on the occasion of the 75th anniversary will continue with a big concert on the stage of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic on March 20, 2020 (beginning at 16.00).
