About 150 children aged 3 to 16 take part in the "VeloLider" tournament, the Prozahid reported.
Traditionally, the competition was opened by the youngest participants, children aged three years and older were competing on the distance of about 200 meters.
In addition to the race among the youngest participants under the age of 5, competitions are held separately among girls and boys in age categories in three locations: "Kindergarten", "School of Races" and "Cross Country". There are both individual and team competitions.
According to the organizers, the main goal of the event is to get people engaged in sports, to popularize healthy lifestyle, to attract attention to traffic safety in the city, as well as to form bicycle infrastructure in Uzhgorod.
Organizers of the event: "Bicycle and tourist club "Lider", Department of Culture, Sport, Family and Youth, Education Department of Uzhgorod City Council, Regional Sports Center "Sport for All" / Sports School "Spartak", NOC of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
