Recall that the European Mobility Week is a pan-European initiative aimed at improving the environment and living conditions in the communities. Every year, from September 16 to 22, it is celebrated in thousands of cities in Europe to show that the use of private cars needs to be reduced, and that of public transport and bicycles needs to be increased.

During the week, various events, contests, bike rides for children of different ages take place in Uzhgorod, several schools have "bike hours", where students learn more about the "European Week of Mobility" and healthy way of life, etc.

On September 22 in Uzhgorod, on Tolstoy Street, there will be a No Cars Day with various master classes, exhibitions, bike repair tips, medical advice, and others. On this day, from 10.00 to 17.00, Tolstoy Street will be free for roller skating, skateboarding, bicycles and closed for cars.

The European Week of Mobility in Uzhgorod will be finished on the City Day, September 23.
