Today Transcarpathia, which is the only region in Western Ukraine, where the People’s Council has not yet established, finally got the chance to establish one.
At the popular assembly, they declared – tomorrow is indeed the crucial day. They announced a public meeting – deputies of different levels are expected at 12.00 on Narodna Square, and people are invited to come at 8.30. At 9:00, the extraordinary session of the Transcarpathian regional council should begin, and people should influence the deputies so that they finally express their support for the protesters and announced the formation of the People’s Council.
The assembly was attended by two deputies of Ukraine – Valeriy Lunchenko and Viktor Baloha, and representatives of different districts of Transcarpathia.
Viktor Balogh, who made a special trip from Kyiv to Uzhgorod Euromaidan assured that tomorrow Transcarpathian Regional Council will pass the decision, and the Peaple’s Council will be established in Transcarpathia.
