Uzhgorod and Svalyava policemen told teenagers about bullying

Uzhgorod Secondary School No. 19 and Svalyava Professional Lyceum hosted the meetings of first-year students with juvenile police inspectors. As part of the All-Ukrainian Counter-Bullying Week, the policemen told students about the phenomenon, manifestations of and methods of countering harassment

Yesterday, September 17, as part of the activities aimed at preventing bullying among minors, policemen met with schoolchildren in Uzhgorod and Svalyava. Thus, in the secondary school No. 19 in Uzhgorod, the chief of the juvenile prevention sector of the Transcarpathian police, Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Kurta, together with the Chief Specialist of the Main Territorial Department of Justice Vladislav Tovtin, delivered a lecture on "Countering Bullying".
The lecture with the freshmen of the Svalyava Professional Construction Lyceum was delivered by the officer of juvenile prevention sector of the Svalyava Police Department Miroslava Kolyadko.
According to the Communication Department of the Transcarpathian Police, the police officers explained to students what bullying is, its main manifestations, who fall victims to such acts most often and warned of the consequences that concealing the acts of physical and moral violence may lead to.
The boys and girls were told how to act and who to report to when one has been subjected to harassment. The children were also told about punishment for bullies. Finally, the students were shown a video on "Bullying among teenagers".
