Uzhgorod airport will receive funds for “European” certification and hope for revival

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine approved the allocation of 58,178 euros for the certification of the State Enterprise for Air Traffic Service of Ukraine by the airport "Uzhgorod".
 
– The certification will be carried out by the European Aviation Safety Agency EASA, its absence is the main reason why it is impossible to resume the full-fledged operation of the International Airport "Uzhgorod", – Hennadiy Moskal says.
Recall that the Uzhgorod airport is the only one in Ukraine that uses airspace of the neighboring state (Slovakia), which is a member of the European Union and operates under the requirements of the EASA, for the take-off and landing of planes.
Today, the airport is operating in limited mode without dispatch control. EASA categorically refused to allow Slovak providers to serve Uzhgorod airport until the certification of the UkSATSE or its unit operating in Uzhgorod for compliance with the requirements of the European Union.
