Utilities are “fighting” snow and ice (PHOTO)

Snow and ice this year have caused numerous injuries in Uzhgorod. Of course, such weather prompts the utilities to work in emergency mode.

According to the director of the MU KSHEP Ivan Dovbak, 6 vehicles are cleaning and removing snow from the city streets.

"Depending on snowfall and road conditions, we work, if necessary, around the clock, mostly at night, when there are less cars on the roads. We start by cleaning the central, major roads, the BAM neighbourhood, because medical facilities are situated there, and the streets are steep. In addition, special attention is paid to ring roads, crossroads, city bus routes. Unfortunately, we can not affect drivers who, despite numerous requests, continue to leave vehicles on roadsides – for example, because of that, on Dukhnovich street, we had to sand the road manually", – Ivan Dovbak stated. Here are photographs of them cleaning Uzhgorod streets over the last day.
