USA business invested in Transcarpathia more than 45 million dollars

It is just over 11% of all the funds invested by investors from other countries in the regional economy.

The Ministry of Income is very attentive to the interests of companies with U.S. capital doing business in Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of income and taxes Oleksandr Klimenko during the meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Payet.

"We are actively cooperating with U.S. investors. We have established close partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. With their participation, we introduced law on transfer pricing, which was truly revolutionary for Ukraine", – Oleksandr Klimenko said.

According to the Minister, today the Ministry of Income creates favorable conditions for business and development of enterprises with American capital. In particular, companies are refunded value-added tax in amounts exceeding claimed ones. In 2013, companies with U.S. capital were refunded $ 320 million, while the claimed amount was $ 220 million with half of that amount refunded in automatic mode.

Innovations in the tax and customs policy, which allowed to increase the position of our country in the World Bank rating, help to attract U.S. investors to Ukraine. As you know, Ukraine became the top reformer in the world last year by implementing reforms in 8 areas of 10. In particular, the experts noted a significant reduction in time to fulfill tax obligations (by 101 hours) and improvment of customs administration. 

The U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Payet also noted the positive dynamics of Ukraine in the field of tax and customs policy. According to him, Ukraine has significant potential and human resources to implement further measures.

"Ukraine has made a significant step towards the improvment of tax and customs policy, but there is still a lot of work to do. However, I am sure that Ukraine will do all that is planned. Especially, since there is a potential, optimism and desire to do that. We want Ukraine to make considerable progress. And in the U.S. you will find a strong partner to realize this," – the Ambassador said.
