Up to 9,000 new COVID-19 cases: WHO forecasts for Ukraine

In the coming months, the number of patients with COVID-19 may range from 7 to 9 thousand cases per day. This was stated by the Head of the World Health Organization in Ukraine Jarno Habicht in an interview with the Suspilne
"In the coming months, we expect the number of cases to exceed 5,000, and may range from 7,000 to 9,000 cases per day. In the same context, we are also seeing more cases in Europe," said Jarno Habicht.
According to him, the transmission of the virus in communities is still observed in Ukraine. Habicht said that if more than 9,000 cases a day are recorded in December, he would be more concerned.
Also, according to WHO research, only one in 4 persons washes their hands regularly and one in 3 persons does not keep a physical distance when attending various events. In addition, more than 40% of people still attend public events.
