All subdivisions of the State Migration Service will work on Saturday, October 27, and Sunday, October 28.
This is stated in the notice of the State Migration Service.
"In order to promote the constitutional right of citizens to participate in the parliamentary elections, scheduled for October 28, all subdivisions of the SMS will work on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of October," – says the notice.
Heads of local bodies by 27 October 2012 should take measures to provide passports according to filed applications, and review applications for adding photos upon reaching the appropriate age.
Thus, in most cases, when a month term from the date of application for a passport has not passed, citizens will be able to get a passport before the election or on election day on October 28.
Applications for adding photos upon reaching 25 and 45 years of age will be reviewed in the shortest possible time, in most cases within one day.
You must contact the local department of the SMS of Ukraine (so called passport offices).
"If you are having problems with getting a passport of citizen of Ukraine or adding photos upon reaching of the appropriate age, contact the hotline of the SMS of Ukraine (044) 383-76-26," – informs the notice.
